Career Management

What is covered?

The aim of the course is to increase participants’ awareness of where they are now in their careers and provide focus and techniques to help them think about future roles and where they want to be working.  This effective course helps participants understand how to drive their careers forward and be self-aware.

Who will benefit?

Participants who have been in the work place for a while and looking to manage their progression through the organisation.

Course content

  • Introduce the ‘Career transition formula’ to highlight the need to take personal responsibility for career management
  • Introduce a career log to record goals, expectations and milestones
  • Understand personality preferences and how they can support increased self-awareness of decisions and actions and impact on gaining commitment and support from others
  • Use a self-assessment technique to understand what career motivators are and how they help inform career choices
  • Understand different generational values, attitudes and preferences and what this means in terms of effective working and managing career choices
